First Day of Classes - A Success

June 10, 2008

The first day of classes in SCLC was a success!

After the flag ceremony a short welcome program was conducted. The pupils, parents and guardians were welcomed and the faculty and staff were introduced.

A message from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engr. Crisantine N. Mari,  was also given, as follows:

Dear SCLC,

Good morning and welcome to the new Sampaguita Children’s Learning Center!

This summer, SCLC underwent a major change, a change for the better.  Last April 2, 2008 the management SCLC is passed on to a new administration.  The first task in the list of the new management is the improvement of the school.

As you can witness today, SCLC has undergone a facelift notably:

·        the buildings and grounds,

·        the computer laboratory and the equipments therein, the new computers are on order and will be arriving later this week or early next week.

·        a website of the school,

·        we will improve the library,

·        home economics room,

·        the workshop,

·        and faculty room among others.

The change in the school uniform is definite.  Right now the details of its implementation are yet to be finalized.  Be patient; we will inform you as to what will be the design and when the new uniform will be imposed.  For now, you can still wear your old uniforms.

The education, teaching and training system of SCLC to its pupils will remain and will continue to be improved by the principal and teaching force.  Expect that the teachers will undergo seminars, trainings and workshops which will benefit the pupils.

We believe that education can be fun and enjoyable. We plan to make our educational programs appropriate, relevant and in tune with the ever changing times; without sacrificing Godly and moral virtues.

The administrative staff will be more organized and systematic in handling your child’s records, your accounts, and all other administrative functions. Expect that your needs will be dealt with and addressed appropriately, at the soonest time possible.  We believe that communication is the best means to achieve what we desire, that is why we value your opinion and suggestions. We will be putting a suggestion box and we encourage your feedback.

There is more to come, there is more that we can offer, and this can be done with your help. The SCLC is your second home and we consider you as our family.  We have so much to do together, so let’s get it started!

In SCLC, things are changing and becoming better! We appreciate all of you for entrusting your children’s education to SCLC. We also take this opportunity to thank the Admin and Teaching staff for all the changes and improvements that you see now.

God bless us all. May all of us have a fruitful academic year ahead.

Thank you very much!

Signed,

Engr. Crisantine N. Mari
